What acne is
Acne is a very common skin condition, characterised by the inflammation of the sebaceous glands.
It is more frequent among adolescents and usually diminishes gradually, but there are many cases of acne seen in adults too. Acne can occur on the face, chest and the back, in other words, in areas where most sebaceous glands are found. On the face, it materialises most frequently on the cheeks, and to a lesser degree on the nose, forehead and chin.
