Acne in Men
Acne in men presents different clinical signs compared to women.
Despite the fact that acne onset during adulthood shows an increasing trend in recent years, it does not actually occur as frequently in adult men as compared to women. However, there are men who suffer from acne during adulthood and many of them seek medical advice from a dermatologist.
Acne in men presents different clinical signs compared to women. More specifically, it is likely that adult men with acne will have had acne in puberty, whereas in most women this is not the case as there is a great hormonal influence.
Among men, acne is more likely to occur on the back and/or chest, as opposed to women, who usually have acne on the face.
