For whom is it for?
Photodynamic therapy (PDT) is a safe and effective alternative treatment method without drugs that can be applied even in the presence of plenty of sunshine. At the same time it is a treatment method that can be applied to people who cannot and/or do not want to receive oral medications.
Among those people, women who are or want to become pregnant are included, as well as people who cannot tolerate oral medications, the dryness of the lips or mouth, and people with various liver and renal diseases.
Furthermore, people who exercise intensely or athletes, blood donors, patients with dyslipidemia, patients with inflammatory bowel disease, and people suffering from depression or have often nose bleeding. Finally, it can be applied to children or adolescents, so that to avoid oral medications.
In addition, through the application of photodynamic therapy the possible side effects of the drags, as well as the possibility of developing antibiotics resistance are avoided.
